Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, together with colleagues Dick Sandberg, Olov Karlsson and Dennis Jones, have authored a book, “Wood Modification Technologies: Principles, Sustainability, and the Need for Innovation”.

This book arose from the recognition that, in recent years, the market for durable products using modified wood increased and sustainability became a greater concern. Therefore, the authors have put together key elements of the wood modification field, presented principal technologies used and pointed out the need for environmental impact considerations.
