InnoRenew CoE researchers at the International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR 2023 Innsbruck)

Dr. Anna Sandak, dr. Jakub Sandak and Albert Kravos, InnoRenew CoE researchers, attended the International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR 2023 Innsbruck), held 20-24 August 2023, at the Congress Innsbruck, Austria.

Dr. Jakub Sandak presented to topic of quality assurance in glue-laminated timber production assisted with near infrared spectroscopy, and he attended the poster session where he presenter his research about the characterization of triptych from the Venetian Gothic period with NIR hyperspectral imaging.

Albert Kravos spoke about the topics related to the OLEAF4VALUE project. Specifically, he presented the determination of the olive leaves suitability for biorefinery processing assisted with portable NIR spectrometers.

Following, Dr. Anna Sandak presented the ARCHI-SKIN project activities and the hyperspectral imaging as a high-throughput method for monitoring fungal colonization on building materials.

The NIR symposium series is known as the world’s leading biannual conference on the fast growing technology which usually attracts over 500 participants. The conference featured workshops, tutorials, plenary, keynote and research lectures from leading and upcoming scientists in the field.
