InnoRenew CoE hosted the 1st sensorFINT International Conference

The 1st sensorFINT International Conference of COST Action 19145 – European Network for assuring food integrity using non-destructive spectral sensors, dedicated to “Non-Destructive Spectral Sensors advances and future trends,” was hosted by InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska from 10–12 May 2022.

More than 100 important research and industry practitioners gathered in the InnoRenew CoE building to discuss innovation in process control using non-destructive spectral sensors (NDSS), novel approaches for NDSS signal integration, real-time methodologies for processing NDSS data, advances in decision support systems for efficient control in the food supply chain and matching scientific progress to industrial needs.

“The conference was a great opportunity to meet each other face to face to present our work, as well as exchange ideas, opinions and future research topics,” Dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE research group leader and leading member of the 1st SensorFINT International Conference organizing committee, said.

In addition to four sessions, there was a virtual poster session, STSM and sponsors sessions and an industry roundtable discussion. The conference was also a networking opportunity with refreshments, a gala dinner and a post-conference tour of the Škocjan Caves, which are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Please see the book of abstracts to learn more about different aspects and breakthroughs in non-destructive spectral sensors.

The organizing committee is thankful to the conference sponsors – VIAVI Solutions, Optic Instruments, GranIT and Q-interline.
