Letter for Green Policy of Slovenian Tourism signing

This year, the Municipality of Izola fulfilled the conditions for admission to the Green Scheme of Slovenian tourism. By doing so, they committed to advance sustainable actions, connect sustainable efforts and promote local characteristics and green stories.

For this purpose, they held a workshop on 10 July 2020 to discuss the opportunities and challenges for sustainable tourism development in Izola. Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, participated by presenting the topic of climate change and InnoRenew CoE’s contributions to its mitigation.

In addition, Dr Kutnar joined Danilo Markočič, Izola’s mayor, and other important local environmental actors in signing a Letter for Green Policy of Slovenian tourism, which is Izola’s fundamental commitment to operate on sustainable principles and continuously strive for improvement.
