Dr Črtomir Tavzes, InnoRenew CoE researcher, was recently in Brussels (Belgium) at the 49th European Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP) Advisory Committee Meeting, representing the InnoRenew CoE, University of Primorska and Slovenian National Support Group (NSG Slovenia).
Horizon Europe Partnerships were the focus of the meeting, especially within SPIRE 2.0 (partnership on energy intensive process industries), Built4People (continuation of the Energy-efficient Buildings contractual Public-Private Partnership) and Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking frameworks. Moreover, participants discussed how society’s perception is changing regarding the forest-based sector.
According to their website, “The Forest-based Sector Technology Platform (FTP) is a European Technology Platform (ETP) dedicated to the forest-based sector. It is the meeting place for industry, forest owners and public authorities, to discuss and build up a critical mass of knowledge on common research and innovation needs for the sector, and to decide on the best ways to cooperate.”
