Erwin M. Schau at the 9th International Conference on Life Cycle Management

Life Cycle Management (LCM) conferences are dedicated to sustainability in all forms. This year, the 9th International Conference on Life Cycle Management, “Towards sustainable future, current challenges and prospects in life cycle management”, took place 1-4 September 2019 at Poznan University of Technology in Poznan, Poland.

Dr Erwin M. Schau, researcher at the InnoRenew CoE, attended the conference and presented research he is carrying out with his InnoRenew CoE colleagues in the “Sustainability in the construction sector” session. He shared with the audience main goals, results and current work on the life cycle assessment benchmark for wooden buildings in Europe, which focuses on single-family houses.

In addition to the main conference programme, there were two side events that Dr Schau attended. The first was dedicated to presentation of ecoinvent’s database and the second was a workshop on how to use SimaPro for the EU Environmental Footprint.
