Barbara Rovere at 5th World Open Innovation Conference 2018

Last December, Barbara Rovere, our assistant researcher and project manager, attended the 5th World Open Innovation Conference in San Francisco.

The World Open Innovation Conference is a flagship program of the University of California, Berkeley, with the aim to engage senior executives of global firms and top academic experts from around the world to address corporate and research challenges.

Currently, we are facing big trends that are fundamentally changing the ways in which organizations must innovate. Climate change, traffic safety, food ecologies and life expectancy are just some of many present challenges. Therefore, the organizers decided that the main topic of last year’s conference was “Digital Transformation for Sustainability”.

Barbara presented her poster, “Open Innovation in the Construction Industry”, and moderated a session about industry challenge. Moreover, she met with several researchers, PhD students and professors to whom she presented our research institute and different possibilities for collaboration.
