The International Day of Forests is celebrated on 21 March each year. Since its proclamation by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, the day celebrates and raises awareness about the importance of all types of forests.
This year InnoRenew CoE is celebrating it with a video prepared by Eva Prelovšek Niemelä, Head of research department for Creativity & Society at InnoRenew CoE, Dr. Michael Burnard, Deputy Director, Aarne Niemelä, InnoRenew CoE’s architect and assistant researcher, and Damjan Muhič from University of Primorska. The promotional video of InnoRenew CoE was prepared as the institute is among the finalist for the New European Bauhaus Prizes 2024. InnoRenew CoE is an example of good practice, demonstrating a beautiful, sustainable and inclusive environment, in line with the main goal of celebrating the International Day of Forests.
Public voting of finalists for the New European Bauhaus Prizes 2024 is possible at the NEB Prizes platform, until 27 March 2024, at 18:00 CET. Winners of the NEB Prizes 2024 will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place during the second edition of the New European Bauhaus Festival, in Brussels.
