InnoRenew CoE and University of Primorska are organizing a conference on interdisciplinary solutions for sustainable buildings

The International Conference InnoRenew CoE 2023 “Interdisciplinary Solutions for Sustainable Buildings” (IRIC2023) invites submissions of abstracts and active participation at the conference until 8 May 2023. The conference, which will be held for the fifth consecutive year, will take place at the InnoRenew CoE building in Izola from 12-14 September 2023.

IRIC2023 provides an opportunity to share and discuss emerging science and innovations in renewable materials that can be used in the built environment to enhance human and environmental well-being.

This year’s thematic sections are related to skills, which coincide with the European Year of Skills, as well as with renovation, society, knowledge transfer, circularity, living engineering materials, environmental impacts, human health, New European Bauhaus, automation, artificial intelligence, IOT, and sensors.

“Interdisciplinarity is crucial in achieving breakthrough and sustainable solutions,” said Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director and added: “That is why with IRIC2023 conference, we encourage and create space for the exchange of knowledge from different fields, all striving towards the same goal, and that is the transition to a sustainable society.”

The IRIC2023 keynote speaker is Alan Organschi, principal and partner at Gray Organschi Architecture, in USA, and Director of the Innovation Labs at the Bauhaus Earth, a global interdisciplinary initiative that seeks to transform the building sector from a major source of anthropogenic environmental and social impact into a regenerative and ecologically sensitive means to meet the housing and infrastructural needs of an urbanizing global population.

You are kindly incited to submit your abstract and join IRIC2023!

The deadline for abstract submission is 8 May 2023. Visit the IRIC2023 website for more information on abstract submissions and registration.
