InnoRenew CoE at the 32nd International Fair for Construction, Energetics, Municipal Services, Trade and Sustainable Technologies (MEGRA)

InnoRenew CoE joined the 32nd International Fair for Construction, Energetics, Municipal Services, Trade and Sustainable Technologies (MEGRA), which was held 8-11 March 2023 in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia, in the framework of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska. InnoRenew CoE researchers presented various research activities they are involved in.

For example, they presented the acoustic camera, which is part of the InnoRenew CoE’s  acoustics laboratory. This camera can be used to plot sound, identify its source, intensity and frequencies.

Participants were able to try infrared (IR) spectroscopy and learn about the wood life cycle assessment software developed by the ClickDesign project. They were able to see different types of densified wood, which adds value to low-quality wood species not traditionally used in construction by improving physical, mechanical and fire performance.

Additionally, the smart floor system was presented, which is designed to be simple to use, made from renewable materials and affordable. The smart floor system can be used to detect falls, guide healthy behaviour at work and at home and for other activities.
