The European Forest Institute Annual Conference took place on 5-7 October in Barcelona, Spain.
In frame of the conference, they organized also a Scientific Seminar which aims to facilitate an international science-policy-practice dialogue on the transformative potential of trees, forests, and wood (and other biomaterials) to rethink the build environment and create healthy, sustainable and resilient cities as well as rural-urban sustainable interfaces.
Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, attended the seminar and moderated the panel dedicated to biobased construction for regenerative urbanization.
The keynote of the seminar was given by Prof. Dr. Hans John Schellnhuber who addressed the challenge of co-transformation of land use and urban development.
