InnoRenew CoE at the 65th SWST International Convention

The Society of Wood Science and Technology (SWST) held its 65th International Convention, “A Global Perspective of the Present and Future Utilization of Renewable Materials”, 10-15 July 2022 in Kingscliff, Australia.

Several InnoRenew CoE researchers joined the conference and presented their research work.

Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE deputy director, chaired two sessions and Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, gave a presentation, “Circularity in Europe’s Woodworking Sector: Policy, Practice, and Perspectives on the Future”.

Lea Primožič and Nežka Sajinčič also gave presentations, “Sustainability Communication of Wood Sector in Comparison to Textile and Car Industry” and “Making Knowledge About Renewable Materials Accessible and Engaging With Educational Videos Based on Instructional Design”, respectively, and were active in the poster session.

Dr. Andreja Kutnar was also part of the inaugural “Women Ambassadors Creating the Future of Wood Science” exhibition, which will become a traveling SWST-sponsored exhibition designed to celebrate women ambassadors over time.
