Engineered wood composites with enhanced impact sound insulation performance to improve human well being project kick-off meeting

InnoRenew CoE hosted the kick-off meeting for the “Engineered wood composites with enhanced impact sound insulation performance to improve human well being” project.

This project, financed by ARRS, connects partners from InnoRenew CoE, Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies at the University of Primorska, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana, IBO Austrian Institute for Building and Ecology and TU Wien Technische Universität Wien.

During the meeting, project partners discussed their respective tasks and set the overall work plan.

Dr. Rok Prislan, InnoRenew CoE researcher, gave participants a demonstration of the institute’s ambisonics recording and led them on a tour of the InnoRenew CoE building and laboratories.

Over the next three years, project partners will investigate the potential of a wood-based resilient layer for floating floors.
