Dr Kutnar at the BIOEAST conference

The BIOEAST Foresight Conference “Climate-Neutral Future Depends on Sustainable Bioeconomies” took place on 27 September 2021. It was organized by the Slovenian EU Council Presidency and the Hungarian Visegrad Group Presidency.

Dr Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, attended the event and spoke about future challenges in the wood processing sector and how InnoRenew CoE is addressing them.

The conference was held to present the current situation and future for the field of forestry as well as the development of the bioeconomy within the 11 Central and Eastern European EU Member States, which are included in the BIOEAST initiative.

Conference participants were welcomed by Jože Podgoršek, Slovenian Minister of Agriculture, István Nagy, Hungarian Minister of Agriculture, and Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.
