New scientific article about the distribution of internal forces in single-storey CLT walls

Dr Igor Gavrić, InnoRenew CoE researcher, together with Daniele Casagrande, Riccardo Fanti and Andrea Polastri from the Institute of Bioeconomy, and Marco Greco from the University of Trento, published an article, “On the distribution of internal forces in single-storey CLT symmetric shear-walls with openings”, in Structures.

In this paper, the researchers present a numerical and analytical study on single-storey cross-laminated timber shear-walls with openings subjected to lateral loads. The main objective was to investigate the location and distribution of maximum values for axial and shear forces in relevant wall sections.

Structures is an open access journal with an impact factor of 2.983 that features contributions about materials, structural mechanics, structural engineering, structural design, construction engineering, structural innovation, extreme events, sustainability, performance-based design and architectural topics.
