Lesni feniks project ends with roundtable discussion

Lesni feniks, the circular economy project organized by Ekologi brez meja, is coming to an end on 19 January 2021. Its successful project work will be concluded with an online event, “New life of wood: Circular economy in practice”, and the premiere screening of a short-presentation movie, both of which will be held on Zoom beginning at 17:00.

Dr Igor Gavrić, InnoRenew CoE researcher, will be one of the speakers during the roundtable discussion, and he will present InnoRenew CoE’s circular economy projects and activities.

Within the project’s framework, partners Lokatur, M SORA, Municipality of Žiri, Development Agency Sora and School Center Škofja Loka, created 20 branches, nine deck chairs and one wardrobe from waste wood. In this way, they promoted practices of circular economy and sustainable development. Besides giving a new life to waste wood, they also actively raised awareness among the general public, mostly in the southern part of Slovenia’s Gorenjska region.

This event is free of charge, and you are kindly invited to register until 18 January 2021.
