Gender Equality Academy training in Ljubljana

Gender Equality Academy (GE Academy) held a gender equality plan training at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, on 5-6 March 2020, where participants learned how to create such a plan and, more importantly, implement it in daily organizational tasks.

Amy Simmons, InnoRenew CoE researcher, and Kim Turk Mehes, Living Lab InnoRenew manager, attended the two-day event. They gained insight into key problems regarding gender in research and innovation, which can be used to create a successful gender equality plan that promotes institutional changes in this regard.

The training was conducted by Dr Maxime Forest from Yellow Window. InnoRenew CoE recently hosted Dr Forest when he conducted a workshop on gender related issues for all InnoRenew CoE employees.

According to their website, “GE Academy is an Horizon 2020 project developing and implementing a high-quality capacity-building programme on gender equality in research, innovation and higher education.”
