The InnoRenew CoE hosted a University of Tasmania student

The InnoRenew CoE hosted Michelle Balasso, a PhD student from the University of Tasmania (Australia). Michelle came to Slovenia on a short-term scientific mission supported by the Society of Wood Science and Technology.

She stayed at the InnoRenew CoE for two weeks and worked with the institute’s researchers to obtain mechanical properties of densified wood made from species that are native to Australia and Tasmania.

“In this institution, I found a nice environment.,” said Michelle in a video the InnoRenew CoE prepared. “All researchers are collaborating, and they know what they are doing. They have a vision and they are going towards that.”
