On Friday, 24 May 2019, the InnoRenew CoE hosted a group of 37 economics and engineering students from the University of Kansas, USA. The students are on a study trip to Slovenia with the aim to visit different Slovenian companies and research institutions in order to understand Slovenian industry.
They visited the InnoRenew CoE to get to know its innovation and research systems. Deputy Director Dr Michael Burnard presented to them how the University of Primorska successfully applied for and received the InnoRenew project, how the institute is developing and how it is operating with its research groups and new projects. He also focused on construction of the InnoRenew CoE’s new buildings.
After the presentation, an interesting discussion took place. The students wanted to understand more about how funding programmes in the EU work and how the InnoRenew CoE is planning construction of its new wooden buildings.
