Dr Nathan Kotlarewski from the University of Tasmania visited the InnoRenew CoE

The InnoRenew CoE and University of Primorska hosted Dr Nathan Kotlarewski, from the University of Tasmania (Australia), for three weeks. Dr Kotlarewski is an industrial designer working in the Tasmanian hardwood industry.

During his visit, he taught a class about building energy simulation at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies in the master’s programme of sustainable built environments.

“The class presents a hands-on, learning by doing approach, which we really enjoyed”, said student Hana Remešová.

“Planning and realization of our own experiment made us think about many more aspects and details than we would think of otherwise”, added student Nikolina Lolić.

Dr Kotlarewski also worked with researchers of the InnoRenew CoE in the lab, advising and collaborating with them in regard to design and building energy.
