Open access publication at the InnoRenew CoE

Employees at the InnoRenew CoE are encouraged to prepare open access publications, which enable us to share our research findings.

We are happy to announce that Dr Andreja Kutnar, director of the InnoRenew CoE, Dr Anna Sandak, Wood Modification research group leader, and Dr Jakub Sandak, researcher, together with Dr Marcin Brzezicki from the Faculty of Architecture at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland), have recently published an open access book titled “Bio-based Building Skin”.

The book provides a compendium of material properties, demonstrates several successful examples of bio-based materials’ application in building facades and offers ideas for new designs and novel solutions.

You can read and download the book here and order the printed copy on this link.

In addition, Dr Václav Sebera, researcher in the InnoRenew CoE Renewable Materials Composites research group, together with other authors, published an open access article in the journal Holzforschung, titled “Thermally modified (TM) beech wood: compression properties, fracture toughness and cohesive law in mode II obtained from the three-point end-notched flexure (3ENF) test”, which can be found here.
