Dr Michael Burnard receives the Honor Role

This past week, the University of Primorska celebrated its anniversary with 45 events that honoured and recounted its official establishment on 17 March 2003 as the third Slovenian university. For this occasion, our colleagues at the university organize a yearly event, Week of University of Primorska. On the first day of spring, 21 March 2019, they held the 16th Academy of the University of Primorska, where professor Dr Dragan Marušič, rector of the university, grants the highest recognition to pedagogical, research and professional employees and students.

Among the awardee’s was Dr Michael Burnard, the InnoRenew CoE deputy director and research group leader for Human Health in the Built Environment and assistant professor at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies, who received the Honor Role for excellent scientific achievements.

The ceremony speaker at this year’s event was professor Dr Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, who holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Primorska.
