Collaboration with Radeče papir nova, d.o.o.

The tradition of paper production in Radeče goes all the way back to 1736. Since then, generation after generation has followed in the footsteps of paper mill professionals. In 2014, Radeče papir nova, d.o.o. was established on the foundation of the former paper mill. Today, with expertise based on tradition and acquired knowledge, the company produces all types of paper, including high-security paper for money, passports and other documents that require the most demanding printing.

The InnoRenew CoE researchers Dr David DeVallance, Dr Črtomir Tavzes, Dr Laetitia Marrot and Marica Mikuljan, together with professor Dr Franc Pohleven, visited the company, a member of Living Lab InnoRenew, and its factory. With representatives of Radeče papir nova, they studied in detail the production process, pilot-plant and laboratory testing capabilities.

The InnoRenew CoE researchers also presented the institute and its research areas. During the visit, they identified common topics where the two companies can collaborate.
