Dr Andreja Kutnar at the WIRE conference

The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) conference is organized every year by the Horizon 2020 SEWP-work programme in co-operation with the European Commission. The annual conference is organized since 2010, and it has created a platform to address, develop, and progress key topics of interest to the European regional innovation community. It brings together regional, national, and European innovation experts and stakeholders, including public organisations, policymakers, research communities, and enterprises.

This year the conference took place in Innsbruck, Austria, and it addressed the topic of innovative regional ecosystems with the power of science and research, entrepreneurship and connectivity.

The director of the InnoRenew CoE, Dr Andreja Kutnar, attended the 9th edition of the WIRE conference where she participated in a panel discussion. Moreover, she meet and discussed with Director-General for Research and Innovation Jean-Eric Paquet about how to better support research and innovation in Europe.
