The director of the InnoRenew CoE, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Andreja Kutnar was recently in Arizona in the USA where she attended the board meeting of the International Society of Wood Science and Technology (SWST). SWST is a professional organization of wood scientists, engineers, and marketing specialists. The members are dedicated to protecting the forest by development of new ideas, procedures, and products for the wood industry.

Dr Kutnar was elected as the vice president of the organization. Her official duties will start on the 1st July 2018. Congratulations, Dr Kutnar!

We are also proud to announce that the annual conference of SWST in 2020 will be held in Slovenia in Portorož, and the centre of excellence InnoRenew CoE will be the main organizer.
