InnoRenew and ‘The forest sector’s contribution to sustainability of the built environment in Alpine Europe’ Summer School

26. June 2017

In the last week of June and the first week in July 2017, InnoRenew CoE had the pleasure of joining a summer school course co-hosted by the University of Primorska hosted in collaboration with Oregon State University. The course, entitled ‘The forest sector’s contribution to sustainability of the built environment in Alpine Europe’ was attended by 20 international participants, who learned about best practices in the use of wood in Slovenia, Switzerland, Northern Italy, and Austria.

This course explores the sustainability of the built environment following the value chain of wooden buildings starting in the forest and following through manufacturing, construction, and use of various types and designs of housing.
