Lei Han, InnoRenew CoE researcher, attended the Wood fire safety conference 2024, held 12-15 May 2024 in Slovakia.

He presented a review of existing publications on up-scale application and fire performance of densified wood in order to facilitate using densified wood as construction material. Based on the reviewed studies, the state-of-art of this topic was discovered, and the research gap identified, which can led the researchers in the future plan.

These findings will be also important in the next steps of the Innovative engineered wood products made from Thermo-hydro- mechanical densified wood with enhanced physical, mechanical and fire performance (WoDeFi) project.
