Dr. Andreja Kutnar, InnoRenew CoE director, together with other institute’s researchers, welcomed representatives from the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia (CTFC).
The aim of the visit was to discuss how the two institutes can cooperate in the future. The InnoRenew CoE heads of research departments presented different research projects and topics they are dealing with. Additionally, they shared the diverse set of services that the institute is offering, and the InnoRenew Living lab was presented as a possible way to enhance collaboration.
The CTFC presented their Forestry Hub, its main goals and activities. The CTFC’s vision is to become a centre of reference in the Mediterranean and Southern European context, from Catalonia, by establishing a hub of excellence in research and transfer of technology towards society.
The visit ended with a guided tour of InnoRenew CoE laboratories, a discussion about the InnoRenew CoE business model and final remarks about future collaboration.
