Lea Primožič, InnoRenew CoE’s professional associate for public relations and assistant researcher, attended the 5th International Conference of Media for Man, held 23–24 April 2024, in Krakow, Poland.
She presented the collaboration of research institute InnoRenew CoE with the Slovenian media and highlighted its main success stories and challenges. Additionally, she pointed out key characteristics of the media in Slovenia and the recent developments.
The conference started with the welcoming words of Prof. dr. Robert Tyrała, Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow’s rector.
It aimed to emphasize the importance of ethical security in the media landscape. By addressing the potential risks and harms associated with media misuse, including moral and social damages, violence, and truth distortion, the conference sought to underscore the critical role of ethics in ensuring human security. Participants were encouraged to engage in discussions and initiatives that promote responsible media practices and uphold ethical standards in the digital age of media globalization.
The conference was organized by the Institute of Journalism, Media and Social Communication Faculty of Social Science, Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, and it was held under the patronage of several embassies, among which also Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Warsaw.
