InnoRenew CoE hosted students from the Faculty of Architecture

Dr. Iztok Šušteršič, InnoRenew CoE research group leader for sustainable construction, welcomed in the InnoRenew CoE building, students from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana.

He presented the design and construction process of the new institute’s building. Following he provided a lecture about timber structures and their key characteristics. Later, Nežka Sajinčič, PhD student and research assistant at InnoRenew CoE, conducted an experiment with the students on student interaction with educational videos about sustainable construction. The purpose of the study is to examine how adding music to instructional videos affects the learning, cognitive and emotional outcomes of students that are learning new topics in a foreign language.

At the end students were given a tour of the institute’s building and research laboratories.
