Visit from the Mandrova House

InnoRenew CoE hosted Aljaž Celarc from the Mandrova House. Dr. Michael Mrissa, InnoRenew CoE researcher, presented to him the institute building and the research laboratories.

Later, Aljaž Celarc participated in the InnoRenew CoE weekly staff meeting and presented his Mandrova House project. It is an old wooden house that Aljaž, together with his colleagues, renovated entirely by himself. The house is designed to allow modern and economical living. They used local wood, wood fibre insulation, made the lime and clay plasters themselves and designed almost all the furniture in the house.

The InnoRenew CoE employees had the opportunity to learn about the latest publication that Aljaž Celarc has published together with Eva Pavlič Seifert, entitled Mandrova House: Living and working with wood: from tree to product.
