Three research positions are available within the ARCHI-SKIN project

Dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE research group leader, was recently successful in securing a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant for the “Bioinspired living skin for architecture” (ARCHI-SKIN) project, which offers three new job opportunities to advance scientific excellence in Slovenia.

InnoRenew CoE and the University of Primorska are looking for one postdoctoral candidate who will implement biomimetic principles for developing Smart Living Surfaces. Two PhD candidates are also sought and will be enrolled in the Renewable Materials for Healthy Built Environments study program at the University of Primorska’s Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies. One of the PhD candidates will research multi-mode microscopy and spectroscopy to explore fungi-surface interactions. The other PhD candidate will explore morphological, functional and social interactions in fungal communities (such as biofilms). Both PhD candidates will work at InnoRenew CoE in the Wood Modification Group, led by Dr. Sandak.

The job calls are open until early September. For detailed information, please visit the InnoRenew CoE webpage.

More about the job opportunities can be found in the article “INNORENEW COE IN UNIVERZA NA PRIMORSKEM IŠČETA: Tri raziskovalce za delo na prestižnem projektu”, published on the Regional Obala web portal.
