New article about ergonomic suitability of furniture

Nastja Podrekar Loredan, Dean Lipovac, Dr. Michael Burnard and Dr. Nejc Šarabon, InnoRenew CoE researchers, together with Sabina Jordan from the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute, published a scientific article, “Thermal effusivity of different tabletop materials in relation to users’ perception”, in Applied Ergonomics.

The ergonomic suitability of furniture is determined by various factors, including the tactile suitability of the materials. In a new study, researchers investigated the suitability of different materials for school and office desks. A desk surface made of lacquered solid wood had the most favorable thermal properties and was found to be the most suitable for everyday use by users.
