InnoRenew CoE co-organized 2019 MATCOS conference

The Middle-European Conference on Applied Theoretical Computer Science MATCOS is held every three years in Koper, Slovenia. MATCOS plays a special role in computer science research by integrating theoretical results with practical applications.

This year, the InnoRenew CoE, together with University of Primorska, hosted the conference from 10-11 October 2019. A wide range of topics, including data analysis, visualization, cryptography, simulation, discrete optimisation, graph algorithms, network processes and game theory, were featured across 21 regular lectures and 16 short lectures. Prof. Thomas Pock from Graz University of Technology was the conference keynote speaker. In his research, Prof. Pock focuses on development of mathematical models for computer vision and image processing as well as development of efficient convex and non-smooth optimization algorithms.

Organizers are happy to announce that the 2022 MATCOS conference will be held in Koper.
