The InnoRenew CoE hosted researchers from the Institute for Computer Science and Control  (Budapest, Hungary), who are partners in the joint bilateral project “Optimisation for Sustainable Supply Chains”, which seeks optimisation of supply chains considering environmental impact and energy costs. The InnoRenew CoE is specifically involved in analysing and specifying  related industrial problems as well as identifying constraints and parameters and defining the decision support framework.

A two-day workshop was organized by the InnoRenew CoE for project participants to identify key issues with expected deliverables relevant to industrial applications. Special focus was placed on bio-based industry, and attendees discussed robust supply chain network design, supply chain scheduling and energy efficiency and further work plans for the project.
