Last week our Deputy director and the Research Group Leader of the Human Health in the Built Environment Dr Michael Burnard attended the kickoff meeting of a newly acquired H2020 projects at the InnoRenew CoE – Underpinning the vital role of the forest-based sector in the Circular Bio-Economy (WoodCircus) which took place in Bordeaux.
The project is led by VTT (FI) and the kick off meeting was hosted by FCBA (FR). The project will provide policy input, industry guidance, and RTDI (Research, Technology Development and Innovation) strategies to make the forest sector become leaders of the circular bio-economy.
Dr Burnard attended the meeting as the InnoRenew CoE is leading a critical portion of the project: identifying best transferable practices, and creating the policy white paper, communications strategies for industry, and supporting the development of an RTDI plan for the sector.
