15th Wood-Technology Conference in Opatija

InnoRenew CoE researchers Marica Mikuljan and Črtomir Tavzes took part in the 15th Wood-Technology Conference in Opatija, Croatia. They joined more than 300 participants from the EU and SEE countries at the important event of wood processing and forestry in Southeast European region (SEE). Participants were from different areas of expertise, including owners of leading woodworking companies, technical managers and maintenance department heads, investors, policy makers, academia, technology suppliers, and associations.

They discussed the latest business trends, investments, innovative solutions, policies, development challenges, and opportunities to intensify cross-sectoral cooperation and R&D projects. Dr David DeVallance of West Virginia University addressed the participants at the beginning of the conference, and Dr Tavzes took part in the section “Building with wood – advantages and good practice cases” and its panel discussion.
