Amy Simmons is a professional associate for public relations and an assistant researcher at the University of Primorska.
She has a Master’s of Science degree in Geology/Hydrogeology from Washington State University and Bachelor’s of Science in Geology from Central Washington University.
After working in the field of forest hydrology as a researcher for 13 years in the US, she moved to Slovenia.
At InnoRenew she specializes in effective science communication and outreach activities. She has a passion for making science and research understandable to a broader audience. In addition, she researches gender inequality in the field of forestry academia.
When she is not working, you’ll find her climbing, skiing, and exploring the natural environment.
