  • Where were you living in childhood and where do you live now?

I’ve always lived in the north of France. Sure, it’s cold, but it’s very warm.

  • What have you studied and what were the motives for your decision?

I’ve always had a passion for both airplanes and mechanics. This dual interest naturally led me to pursue a path all the way to becoming a mechanical and maintenance engineer in the field of aviation.

  • How would you describe your work to someone outside your field?

It’s a job that requires strong knowledge and logical thinking. I find it very interesting because I get to work on many types of machines, which allows me to be involved in various fields such as hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanics. I also really enjoy the project management aspect, which I can handle.

  • What does your typical working day look like?

I start my day by greeting everyone in the office. Then I turn on my computer and have a coffee with the team. I check my emails and begin working on various projects, while also attending meetings on different topics.

  • What makes you excited about your work?

My work topics always vary, and I get to discover new machines over time. I also really value the close collaboration I have with the technicians.

  • And what is the biggest challenge at your work?

My biggest challenge at work is making sure all my analyses are accurate so that no issues affect other departments.

  • Which scientist or scientific achievement are you fascinated by and why?

Albert Einstein, because I’m fascinated by the theory of relativity. Even though I’m not a great mathematician I find it truly captivating.

  • Tell us about the work of art (books, music, movies, theatre, dance, visual arts) that has a special place in your life.

Music of all kinds plays an important role in my life. I listen to it while working, doing DIY projects, or exercising. I’m also a big movie enthusiast and I love dancing.

  • What have you read, listened to, or watched lately?

And the last series is “We Were Liars”, which is very emotional.

  • Which place on the Slovene coast do you like the most?

I really like Piran. It’s a very pretty town and its seaside is very pleasant.

  • What makes you enthusiastic?

Spending quality time with friends and family in the evenings.

  • Characterize your life’s guidance or an important realization (or epiphany) you have experienced.

The principle that guides my life is “nothing really happens by chance”. The path we take is a reflection of our choices. But I have too learned that speaking several languages is very beneficial in life.

  • What does the charm of wood mean to you?

For me, wood embodies the charm of humanity’s earliest creations, boats, doors, carts… I find wood works incredibly beautiful. It’s a noble material that connects us deeply to nature.
