With the binaural and HOA (Higher Order Ambisonis) system, the built environment is investigated from the acoustic perspective. Various acoustic environments can be recorded and reproduced in the laboratory. A such different acoustically relevant aspects are investigated - ranging from sound annoyance (noise) in offices to the sophisticated requirements of performance spaces, such as concert halls. The system is an essential tool to investigate subjective preferences in controlled laboratory conditions.
