Dr. Mike Burnard, Deputy Department Chair at InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, participated in the online BIOEAST Science-Policy Dialogue: Wood in Sustainable Building, held on 30 June 2026.

The event was organised by the Forestry Value Chain Thematic Working Group of the BIOEAST Initiative within the BOOST4BIOEAST project. The mission of the BIOEAST Initiative is to support circular bioeconomy development through knowledge and cooperation, while promoting sustainable growth and new opportunities.

The dialogue focused on the role of research, innovation and policy in supporting sustainable wood-based solutions, as well as on strengthening collaboration across the wood-building value chain.
