NEBA Alliance Workshop at the NEB 2026 Festival

The New European Bauhaus Academy (NEBA Alliance), in collaboration with the University of Primorska and InnovaWood, organized the workshop “NEB Academy: How the NEB learns, tests, and scales”, held on 11 June 2026 at the Art & History Museum in the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels, as part of the NEB 2026 Festival.

The workshop provided an overview of the NEBA Alliance and its role in establishing a European network of educational hubs supporting the New European Bauhaus initiative, introducing participants to its vision, achievements to date, and future ambitions, as well as examples of regional collaboration through NEB Academy hubs, while also highlighting different approaches to implementing NEB principles in practice, including cooperation in Northern Europe, the integration of these principles into architectural education, the development of an open platform for educational materials and knowledge exchange and experiences from vocational education and training programmes.

Dr. Andreja Kutnar, coordinator of the NEBA Alliance and department chair of InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM, presented the alliance’s vision as a European network of educational hubs supporting the New European Bauhaus initiative, its achievements and its future ambitions. She also highlighted key findings from the workshop discussions and outlined next steps for the alliance, including the announcement of and open call for hosting the 2nd NEB Academy Conference.

The workshop offered participants valuable insights into the NEBA Alliance’s ongoing activities, achievements, and future directions within the New European Bauhaus framework.
