InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM at the AMBIENT kick-off meeting

InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher attended the AMBIENT project kick-off meeting, held on 15 June 2026 in Madrid, Spain. The meeting marked the beginning of the Horizon Europe project Advanced Materials for NEB-Inspired Environmental Public Procurement (AMBIENT) and was hosted by the project coordinator, Science and Innovation Link Office (SILO).

The meeting provided an opportunity for project partners to present the project vision, align activities and discuss the implementation of the planned work. The discussions focused on strengthening collaboration within the consortium and establishing the foundations for developing innovative approaches to environmental public procurement.

Dr. Lea Primožič, InnoRenew CoE, UP IAM researcher, participated in the meeting as a representative of the University of Primorska. The University of Primorska is a project partner in AMBIENT and contributes to Work Package 4 (WP4) – Innovation Procurement Knowledge Hub, where it leads two tasks supporting the development of knowledge-sharing activities and tools for advancing innovation procurement.

AMBIENT project aims to support European public authorities in adopting innovative procurement approaches for advanced materials that contribute to climate resilience, energy efficiency and sustainable public spaces, guided by the principles of the New European Bauhaus initiative.

The kick-off meeting brought together project partners from across Europe and provided an opportunity for networking, exchange of knowledge and coordination of the next steps towards creating a European ecosystem for advanced materials procurement.
