Mohammad Derikvand, a researcher at InnoRenew CoE, in collaboration with Azin Ettelaei, Nathan Kotlarewski, and  Louise Wallis, recently published a publication Australian plantation Eucalyptus nitens as an alternative building material for the World Conference on Timber Engineering 2025 in Brisbane, Australia.

This paper explores the progress in utilising plantation-grown E. nitens for structural EWPs, particularly in Tasmania, where extensive research and development efforts have been undertaken and a number of recent commercial buildings have used these products.
