InnoRenew CoE hosted participants of the “Social economy mission” workshop

Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE deputy director, welcomed at the institute participants of the workshop “Social economy mission”, organized in the framework of the SPACE-NEST project.

He presented the institute and its research activities, and highlighted the involvement of InnoRenew CoE with the New European Bauhaus. Additionally, he presented the NEBAP Hub, established ta the University of Primorska. He guided participants through the building and research laboratories.

The project SPACE-NEST: Sustainable Path Advancing Community Empowerment – New European Bauhaus for Social Economy and Transformative Living, aims at revitalizing abandoned or underutilized rural spaces by transforming them into hubs for social enterprises focused on the green economy.

The project emphasizes renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable crafts, and green architecture, inspired by the principles of the New European Bauhaus and the European Green Deal.
