Dr. Miklós Krész and Dr. Balázs Dávid, InnoRenew CoE’s researchers, together with Viktor Árgilán, János Balogh, József Békési and Gábor Galambos from University of Szeged, recently published a news scientific article “An Assignment Model for Scheduling Vehicles with Refueling,” in Acta Polytechnica Hungarica.

The vehicle scheduling problem consists of scheduling a fleet of vehicles to cover a set of tasks at a minimum cost. In this paper authors propose a method for incorporating vehicle-specific task requirements directly into the assignment phase. Computational results show that the model can effectively extend the capabilities of the standard models to be able to handle the assignment with vehicle-specific task requirements.
