Dr. Michael Burnard, InnoRenew CoE Deputy Director, and Dr. Ana Slavec, InnoRenew CoE researcher, attended the InnovaWood General Assembly 2025, held 13–15 May 2025 in Kastoria, Greece.
The three-day program included opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build new collaborations in the community of wood research, innovation, and education professionals.
Dr. Ana Slavec presented the research project SLOTH: Socio-psychological aspects of forest/home owners’ decisions, while Dr. Burnard moderated a workshop on wood education, focusing on how to increase its attractiveness and links to the New European Bauhaus Academy (NEB Academy).
In addition, Dr. Burnard was elected as the new President of InnovaWood.
The event also featured a variety of networking sessions designed to encourage meaningful dialogue and reinforce partnerships across the wood sector community.
