Dr. Jakub Sandak and dr. Anna Sandak, InnoRenew CoE Deputy directors, hosted researchers from AEP Polymers Srl (Andrea Minigher & David Contus), which are project partners of the NewWave project.

During the visit they successfully prepared composite slabs for construction, featuring two outer panels prepared by Foresa, a bio-based PU foam core, and a specially eco-friendly adhesive developed by AEP Polymers SRL.

To further test feasibility, they also produced five CLT mockups—four using the innovative PUR formulations developed by AEP Polymers SRL, plus a commercial reference sample.

This is a significant step towards greener, more sustainable building materials and to advance the work performed in the NewWave project.
