The Festival of the golden olive twig 2025, organized by the Association of Olive Growers of Slovenian Istria (DOSI), took place at InnoRenew CoE. During the event, the producer of the most popular olive oil was officially announced.

The selection process for protected designation of origin olive oil had already taken place before the event. A panel of experts choose top five samples from numerous entries, while the final winner was chosen by representatives from the media, institutions, and tourism organizations of Slovenian Istria.

Participants at the event were greeted by Milan Bogatič, Mayor of the Municipality of Izola, Danilo Markočič, President of the Association of Olive Growers of Slovenia, and Dr. Jože Podgoršek, President of the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia.

The festival once again highlighted the importance of high-quality olive oil production, expert collaboration, and the promotion of local products.
