Final IRIS project meeting

InnoRenew CoE hosted the final project meeting of the Engineered wood composites with enhanced impact sound insulation performance to improve human well-being (IRIS) project, 28-29 November 2024 in Izola, Slovenia.

At the meeting project partners discussed about the main project results, presented the report from each project partner, the publications list and discussed about reporting requirements. Dr. Rok Prislan, presented the preliminary results of listening test.

InnoRenew CoE activities included the development of wood composites for the impact sound insulation resilient layer. Its achieved performance was tested from an acoustic point of view and perceptually evaluated by users. For this purpose, an experiment was set up for the sound field and vibrations to be reproduced in laboratory conditions using an Ambisonics reproduction system and vibration exposure device.
